Nancy Jane Claxton

Nancy Jane Claxton, age 58 of Ash Flat died Sunday October 7, 2007 at Mountain Home. She was born December 4, 1948 at Batesville, Arkansas to Wiley Tex and Rachel Eva (Lawson) Hix. She ws a homemaker and a member of the Vine Street Missionary Baptist Church in Batesville.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Claxton, one brother Richard Hix and one sister Billie Wolford.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law Rusty and Charlotte Claxton and Nicholas and Nicole Claxton all of Ash Flat, one daughter Melisa Oyler of Ash Flat, one brother Larry Hix of Spring, Texas, three grandchildren Seth McCord, Erin McCord and Dakota Claxton all of Ash Flat, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Fuenral Home Chapel in Cave City with Jack Richardson and Sonny Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Baptist Cemetery located at Ash Flat with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Visitation will begin Tuesday October 9, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.mPallbearers will be Bo Lord, Rodney Claxton, Sonny Powell, Braden Ables, Cletus Bailey and James Whitten.Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Newcom and Steve Jeffries.
