Ronnie Lee Thomas

Ronnie Lee Thomas, age 58 years and 3 months, of Batesville departed this world June 2, 2008 at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born March 2, 1950 at Saint Louis, Missouri to Lee and Geneva Thomas. He was retired and co-owner of Thomas Auto Sales at Southside with his brother Les Thomas. He was a member of the VFW Post # 4501 and American Legion Post # 114.He left behind a host of good, long-time friends and a special person in his life Sandra Strain, a daughter Karen Thomas of Batesville, a granddaughter Danielle Thomas of Batesville, a brother and sister-in-law Leslie and Pam Thomas of Batesville, a sister and brother-in-law Reda and Jim Atchley of Conway, a niece Amber Atchley of Conway, an aunt Thelma Sloan of Mountain View, cousins Eulena Hale, Boyd 'Bo' Sloan and Loyd Ray Sloan both of Mountain View, Steve Jessen of Conway and Todd Jessen.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Geneva Thomas of Batesville, a son Christopher Thomas of Batesville, an uncle Rev. Frank Stephens of Mountain View and an aunt Wilma Jessen of Mountain View. Funeral services will begin Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Prior Simmerman officiating.Burial will follow in the East Richwood Cemetery located at Mountain View with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Prior Simmerman, Lannie Hensley, Keith Hill, Vance Richardson, Jackie Nast and Bill Robertson.Honorary pallbearers are members of the VFW Post # 4501 and members of the American Legion Post #114.
