Marvis W. Conyers, 75, of Cave City died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born on July 31, 1931 at Melbourne, Arkansas to Eunice Edgar 'Shorty' and Virgie Mae King Conyers. Marvis was raised in the Melbourne area. He worked at the family saw mill at Melbourne and for the Cox Pipeline Company. He retired from the United States Air Force in the (P.O.L) refueling section. He was a Vietnam Veteran from 1963-1964. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Cave City.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include his wife, Loretta Conyers of the home; one son, Johnny Conyers and his wife, Lois of Greenbrier; one daughter, Virginia Conyers of Memphis; one sister, Brenda Gillogly and her husband, Dean of Olathe, Kansas; one grandson, Jeremy Conyers and his wife, Charlee of Cave City; two granddaughters, Sharonda Gardner and her husband, Steven of Newark and Katharine Conyers of Memphis; one great granddaughter, Madyson Marie Gardner of Newark; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
