Esther Brashers

Esther Gill Brashers age 88 of Batesville died Wednesday July 25, 2007 at her home. She was born April 4, 1919 at Batesville, AR to Jim Rubin and Maud Battles Gill. She was a homemaker, a member of Eastern Star and a member of the Ruddell Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Berry Brashers, one brother, Ray Gill, one sister Virgie Tucker and one granddaughter, Tara Nicole Thompson.Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Brashers of Batesville and Raymond Brashers of Locust Grove, one daughter, Katie Thompson of Southside, three sisters Muriel Sutton and Katie Searcy both of Batesville and Ruby Emerick of El Cerrito, CA, nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services will begin Friday July 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ruddell Hill Baptist Church located in Batesville with Bro. Alan Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery located at Bethesda with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.Visitation will begin Thursday July 26, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.Pallbearers will be Brandon Brashers, Chris Brashers, Jerry Brashers, Gary Tucker, John Tucker and Mack Tucker.Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Neal Brashers, Dr. Julia Allen, her granddaughters Gloria Branscum, Margaret Harmon and Darlene Thompson and great granddaughter Autumn Jones.
