William Hibbs age 85 of Cave City, Arkansas died Tuesday September 11, 2007 at his home. He was born October 4, 1921 at Manistee County, MI to William and Icadora (Wineland) Hibbs. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II, a retired factory worker and also did construction work.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lillian (Calhoun) Hibbs, one son Larry Van Dusen, an infant daughter Linda Hibbs, four brothers Art Hibbs, Floyd Hibbs, Donald Hibbs, Harry Hibbs and six sisters Marge Pester, Creta Miller, Lily Metcalf, Dorothy Pettit, Carrie Hibbs and May Hibbs.Survivors include two sons LeRoy Van Dusen of Argos, IN, Raymond Van Dusen of Wheatland, CO four daughters Dorothy Poledna of Niles, MI, Lillian Cotton of Cave City and Pamela Stice both of Cave City and Sandra Norris of Batesville, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.A private graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at a later date at the Walkerton Cemetery located at Walkerton, Indiana.
