Glenn W. Reed

Glenn W. Reed age 89 of Batesville died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. He was born October 9, 1924 at Letona, Arkansas to John Orval and Ada Zula (Pickens) Reed. He was retired from Frito-Lay in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was of the Bahai faith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mayerene Sutton Reed; one son, James Wendell Reed and two brothers, John Preston Reed and Harold Reed. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Faye Reed of the home; two daughters, Genine Jamison of Cottonwood, Arizona and Karen Bahi of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Howard Lee Reed of Searcy and Carroll Eugene Reed of Wisconsin; one sister, Pattie Mae Chapman of Colorado; six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. No visitation is planned.
