Maxine King

Maxine (Hurst ) King age 92 of Wichita, Kansas (formerly of Cave City) died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at a Wichita nursing home. She was born March 29, 1922 at Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Horace William and Nancy Clementine (Freeman) Hurst. She was a homemaker and a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowis King; one son, Jimmy Dean King; two infant children; one brother, Garfield Hurst and one sister, Ola Mae Norris. Survivors include one son Billy Ray King; one daughter, Pat McLeod and one sister, Pearline McKnight all of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren, twenty- three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave City Cemetery with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
