Iris V. Vazquez

Iris Vazquez age 92 of Batesville died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born August 5, 1922 at Cidra, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Juan Vazquez and Fructuosa I. Ayala. She was a homemaker and was a cashier for several years at the Ramey Air Force Base PX in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Armando Plaza Collazo; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include one son, Wilson Plaza of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Wilma Plaza of Batesville; one granddaughter, Samantha Rodarte of Batesville; one grandson, Ivan J. Rodarte Jr. of Huntsville, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. No visitation is planned.
