Dale Eugene Traughber

Dale Eugene Traughber age 62 of Evening Shade, Arkansas died Monday, June 8, 2015 at a Batesville hospital. He was born November 25, 1952 at Decatur, Illinois to John C.W. and Rita M. (Inman) Traughber. He was a retired police officer having served in Crest Hill, Illinois. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in Vietnam and a member of VFW Post 8042 at Evening Shade. He was a member of the Bear Creek United Methodist Church in Evening Shade and the Church of the Brethren in Decatur, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Traughber and two sisters, Ruth Maxine (Traughber) Williams and Betty( Traughber) Bowman. Survivors include his wife, Kelly Traughber of the home; one son, Jason Traughber and wife Carla Saccomanno of New Orleans, Louisiana; two sisters, Doris Jean (Dale) McClure of Decatur, Illinois and Helene Lorene (Bill) Ponting of Blue Mound, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Lois Traughber of Decatur, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Spangler Cemetery located in Decatur, Illinois with arrangements by Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Home of Decatur, Illinois. Local arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned.
