Cora Mae Tharp

November 9, 1949 — June 4, 2017

Cora Mae (Dew) Tharp, 67 of Batesville died Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was born November 9, 1949 at Batesville, Arkansas to Edgar and Verble (Wisdom) Dew. She was a graduate of Cave City High School and retired from White Rodgers in Batesville with 36 years of service. She was a member of Oak Hill Pentecostal Church at Spring Mill. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edgar Dew Jr. and General Dew and a sister Judy Thompson. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charley Tharp; son, Wade Ray Tharp of Batesville; daughter Roberta Harris and husband Scotty of Desha; grandchildren, Scotty Harris Jr. and Hannah Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Kenny Tharp and Bro. Donald Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery located near Cushman with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Bell, Matthew Bell, John Bell, Ronnie Barnes, Bob Treadway and Mark Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Brewer, Scotty Harris and Scotty Harris Jr.
