Alford (Al) Martin

Alford (Al) Martin, 88, of Evening Shade, Arkansas passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 at Evening Shade. He was born June 29, 1937 in Bradford, Arkansas to Walter Martin and Jessie Chupp. He was a truck driver and mechanic and a member of the Bear Creek Church in Evening Shade. He enjoyed time spent with his family, working, fishing, auctions and watching westerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry Martin and Gene Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Martin of the home; his sons, Dale Martin of Batesville, Arkansas, Manuel (Mindy) Estrada of Batesville, Arkansas, Donald (Kathy) Martin of Melbourne, Arkansas, Braxton (Breann) Martin of Evening Shade, Arkansas and Dustin (Hannah) Martin of Searcy, Arkansas; his daughters, Lawanda (Michael) McCormick of Evening Shade, Arkansas and Rachael Martin of Searcy, Arkansas; his sister, Bunny Channey of Searcy, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Crown Lake in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas
