Barbara Eileen Foster-Veer

Barbara Eileen Foster-Veer, 74, of Strawberry, AR earned her Eternal Award on July 14, 2020 in Batesville, AR.  She was born March 5, 1946, in Flagstaff, AZ, the daughter of Euell B. Weems Sr. and Mae Evelyn (Morton) Weems. Graduated Flagstaff High School 1964 and attended Arizona State College for a short time. Eileen married Terry K. Foster on Nov. 29, 1964, who passed away on July 20, 1994. She married John Veer on October 12, 2002 in Freeport, IL.

She is predeceased by her parents; her former husband and father of her children; her daughter, Terryleen C. Foster; brother, Thomas Weems; stepson, Terry K. (Palmer) Foster, Jr. and her beloved sister-in-law Nema Jean Weems, as well as her beloved fur babies, Buddy, Bozo and Macey. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, John Veer, Strawberry, AR; devoted son Lynn (Barbara) Foster, Rockford, IL; and big brother, Euell B. Weems Jr., Pevely, MO. She treasured her grandchildren: Bradley Foster, Durham, N.C., Katherine and Abigail Foster, Rockford, IL; stepchildren she loved as her own: Kelly Young, Keith Veer, John Veer, Jami Clay and Tom Fuchs; step-grandchildren she loved as her own: Christa, Josh and Matthew Young, Keigan and John Veer, Gavin Fuchs, Aliza, Jasmine, Jenesia and Destiny Wittbecker and Anthony Garcia; bonus daughter, Donna Arnold, Stillman Valley, IL; sister-in-laws: Donna Kennedy and Veronica (Roni) Weems; and very special friend-sisters: Alta Hill Maryville, TN, Gloria Roberts, Freeport, IL and Linda McGee, Strawberry, AR.  

She was a past member of First Church of The Nazarene, Freeport, IL and currently a member of Batesville First Church of The Nazarene, Batesville, AR. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior on Sept. 1, 2002. She and John were baptized together later that year. She was an avid reader and had a passion for crocheting and knitting.

Eileen and I are eternally grateful for the guidance and prayers of Rev. John and Donna Hollis. Eileen, as she preferred, was well loved because she loved well. "Good bye my beautiful bride, I'll join you later. You were an extraordinary lady and an exceptional wife." Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services at a later date in Batesville, AR and Freeport, IL. Interment in Maquon, IL at a later date. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
