Betty Jean Crutcher, 92, of Rosie passed away August 18, 2025 at Batesville. She was born December 28, 1932 at Rosie to J.M. Hooper and Pixie (Tucker) Hooper. She was a retired Circuit Clerk of Independence County and a member of the Rosie Baptist Church.
She enjoyed bingo (was lovingly known as Bingo Betty), church, feeding hummingbirds, grandkids and cooking out for the family. Betty loved the Senior Citizens Center at Oil Trough and she always had a sharing heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Crutcher; two brothers, JD Hooper and LJ “Joe” Hooper; sister, Dorris Martin and a very special daughter-in-law, Jamie Crutcher, and one very special friend, Bonnie Davis.
Survivors include son, Keith Crutcher; daughter, Martha Fleming; two grandchildren, Kylie Crutcher and Drew Fleming (Ashley); two great-grandchildren, Ella Howell and Hayden Howell, along with five siblings and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at the Rosie Baptist Church with speakers; Honorable Judge Tim Weaver and Ms Tracie Morris.
Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers: Michael Hooper, Hal Hooper, Jamie Goyne, Chris Marlin, David Martin, Jackson Barber, Randall Hooper, and Brad Hooper.
Honorary Pallbearers: Phillip (Andy) Branscum, Myles Hooper, Roger Martin, Alex Branscum, Chris Helm, Mike Crutcher, Lance Wyatt, Bobby Smith, Ben Hooper, Sterlin Wallace, Horace Walters, and John Wyatt.
