Billie Marlene Rivers

Billie Marlene Rivers, 82 of Evening Shade died Monday, September 2, 2019. She was born October 1, 1936 at Boyd, Texas to Marshal Steel and Wyona Splawn Steel McNairn.  She was a homemaker and a member of Thee Bear Creek Church at Evening Shade.  She was an avid reader and a member of the Evening Shade Library Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Rivers; daughter, Linda Sue Rivers Sharp; brother, Bob Steel and granddaughter, Mary Katherine Coderre.

Survivors include daughters, Dianne Elaine Rivers Tharp (Jeff) and Julianna Rivers Smith both of Evening Shade; brother, Ronnie Steel of Nevada; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Joe Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery at Evening Shade.

Pallbearers will be John Shands, Josh Shands, Lincoln Coderre, Emma Miller, Brian Coderre and Jeff Tharp.

Honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Haley, Edward Sherrod and Rick Spurlock.
