Bobby A Love

Bobby A Love, age 86, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
He was born on July 27, 1937 in Carlisle, Arkansas to a rice farmer and home maker, Chris Love
and Evelyn Irene Manson. He was retired from the Arkansas State Police, having served as an
 Arkansas State Trooper for 32 years. He was a member of the Central Avenue First United
Methodist Church. Bobby was an avid reader; he collected mini police cars from every U.S. state
and Canada, and also enjoyed reloading shells. He was many things in his life; a rice farmer,
soldier, having served in the United States Army, husband, father and a gas station attendant for
his father.

Most people only know him as a state policeman but for those who loved him the most he was
just “daddy.”

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Edna Love;
and his second wife, Verna Mae Love.

He is survived by his son, Robert Love; his daughters, Debbie Love and Becky Utz; his brother,
Daryl Love and wife Doris; his sister, Ruth Parks; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren;
several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family has decided to have no services in order to grieve in private.

Hospice and the Arkansas State Police Teddy Bear Fund.
