Bonnie Sue Ketron, 89, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born April 6, 1937 in Zion, Arkansas to Cornelius Finley and Mildred Miller Finley.
She worked as a seamstress for Sheplers Western Wear in Wichita, Kansas until she was able to open her own business, Bonnie's Alterations. When she was able, she loved to can vegetables from the garden. She also loved sewing and making clothes for her grandchildren when they were younger. After her daughter passed in 1994, she took in her grandchildren and raised them as her own. She along with her husband provided the most loving home for them. Bonnie was an amazing cook and enjoyed doing so for her family. Even making Chicken and Dumplings for her sisters.
In her later years, Bonnie enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow into beautiful families. She also enjoyed looking at the scenery that God created, especially her flowers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave City, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, John Ketron; one son, Ronny Lynn Ketron; one daughter, Louise Elizabeth Young; one brother, Julian Finley; and three sisters, Geneva Williams, Joyce Wright and Ona Reynolds.
She is survived by her son, Ronny Louis Ketron of Everett, Washington, one brother, Dale Finley (Sonya) of Zion, Arkansas; three sisters, Dorla Foster, Zona Yancey and Evelyn Spurlock (L.C.); five grandchildren, Shane Ketron, Toby Young (Cori), Melinda Schulz (Brandon), Chelsea Bates, and Jennifer Barnett (Nathan); seven great grandchildren, Brady Smith (Whitney), Ethan Schulz (Lanie), Chase Schulz, Levi Schulz, Emma Barnett, Tessa Hogue, and Peyton Barnett, and one great great grandchild, Sutton Cole Smith.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cave City, Arkansas with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. David Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Zion, Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Brady Smith, Ethan Schulz, Chase Schulz, Levi Schulz, Peyton Barnett, Brandon Schulz and Nathan Barnett. Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Lewallen, Freddy Bower, Ronnie Schulz, Dale Finley and L.C. Spurlock.
