Carol Elaine Wood

Carol Elaine Wood, 76, of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026 at her home in Mount Pleasant. She was born May 20, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas to Ernest and Mary (Wilkison) Wood. When she was 16 years old, she began working for Lambs Home Furnishings and later became bookkeeper/secretary for Sharp Realty until her health prevented her from continuing work. She was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church of Melbourne, Arkansas. She enjoyed gardening, working in flowerbeds, crossword puzzles and her beloved pets, Molly and Roxie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her husband Junior Ray Caraway, whom she spent over 30 years with; her stepdaughters, Misty Hughes (Chris) of Russellville and Tracy Gragg (Larry) of Pine Bluff; her sister, Tena Dodd (Douglas) of Hot Springs; several nieces and nephews; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
