Charles Daniel Hoggard

Charles Daniel Hoggard, 90, of Smithville, AR passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Smithville. He was born February 25, 1935 in Calamine, AR to James and Zola Hoggard. He was a cattle farmer and a member of the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Grange. He enjoyed hunting, farming and spending time with his beloved family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Bartus Hoggard, and Jesse Columbus Hoggard; his sister, Lois Maxine Smith; and daughter in law, Teresa Hoggard.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janet Hoggard; his sons, David Hoggard, Ralph Hoggard, Mitchel Hoggard (Diane) and Kevin Hoggard; his daughters, Laronda Goff (Greg), Brenda Turner (Bobby) and Brianne Higginbottom (Seth); eleven grandchildren, Scott Goff (Miranda), Tristen Nelson, Shawn Goff (Jamie), Mikeal Goff (Cody), Jody Brannon (Cody), Shelby Hoggard (Donnie), Shanna Hoggard (Tyler), Jaden Hoggard (Bailee), Tristin Higginbottom, Eli Higginbottom and Tucker Higginbottom; thirteen great grandchildren, Kadence Goff, Austin Goff (Ashley), Kaylyn Goff, Maci Goff, Clayton Brannon, Asher Hoggard, Elliot Pratt, Briggs Fowler, Adlee Garrett, Kinley Nelson, Kamden Nelson and Bryden Nelson; and two great-great grandchildren, Ryder Boyer and Westyn Goff; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Grange with Bro. Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in Strawberry.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Scott Goff, Tristen Nelson, Shawn Goff, Mikeal Goff, Jaden Hoggard, Tristin Higginbottom, Eli Higginbottom, Tucker Higginbottom and Austin Goff.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cave City or Hillcrest School Districts Backpack Program.
