Charlotte Ann Clay, 69, of Sidney, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born October 5, 1956 in Ottowa, Kansas to Kenneth and Beverly Massengale. Charlotte found joy in the simple things in life. She loved playing games on her phone, watching butterflies, and spending time with her beloved cat, Kensie, and her cherished Pomeranians, Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper, who were lovingly named after her favorite drinks. Her warm spirit, sense of humor, and love for her family and pets will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Rick Ward; and her stepmother, June Massengale.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of five years, Carl Dean Clay; her stepdaughter, Amanda Clay; her brothers, Kenneth Earl Massengale Jr. (Julie) and Keith Massengale (Tina); her sister, Karla Willcut (Dean); her two grandchildren, Iva Starkey and Rowen Starkey; many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Charlotte on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Milestone Events, 506 Main Street, Wellsville, Kansas 66092. We will gather to honor Charlotte’s memory, share stories, and remember the love, laughter, and joy she brought to all who knew her. Food and refreshments will be served. All who knew and loved Charlotte are welcome to attend.
