Dale Eugene Wright

Dale Eugene Wright, 84 of Evening Shade passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at his home.  He was born August 27, 1936 in Denmark, Arkansas.  He was retired from the United States Army and also served in the United States Air Force.  He was also a retired lineman for AT&T.   He was a passionate musician and loved entertaining.  He was also a gifted storyteller. He was a member of the Sidney Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Wright; his mother, Mabel Paul; his wife Lora Jane Wright.;one brother, Gregory Vaughn Gray and one sister, Patricia Gray.

Survivors include three children, Kathryn Donnelly (Thomas) of Illinois, Dennis Wright and Theresa Garner of Evening Shade; five grandchildren, Virginia Jacobsen, Aric Donnelly, Salina Heatherly, David Garner and Dale Wright; five great grandchildren, Kyrstin Smith, Katelyn Jacobsen, Isabella Garner, Jordan Jacobsen and Cheyenne Wright; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Tony Stuntz officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery in Franklin.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ty Synder, Michael Thomas, Rick Miller, Dwight Jones, Bobby Lashley and Billy Jack Lankford.

Honorary pallbearer is Charlie Johnson.
