Darba Jean (Hallmark) Townsley, 77, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born January 23, 1942 to the late Roland (Darb) and Mellie (Webster) Hallmark. She wore several hats as a Christian. She loved to play the piano and organ. She was a Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher and a choir member who enjoyed singing solos. She took pride in helping decorate her church. She had a servant’s heart, loved her Lord and her church family. She was a song leader at Southside Baptist Church and Ramsey Heights Baptist Church which spanned over 41 years. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” - Matthew 25:21
Darba is survived by her children Curt, Tina, and Victor Townsley all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Logan (Alyssa) Thorp of Madison, Wisconsin, Dylan Thorp of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kylee Townsley of Jonesboro, Tera Stevenson and Charlie Donna both of Batesville. She is also survived by two sisters, Claudell Hallmark of Southside and Jenetta (Edward) Milligan of Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Jerry Jolly and Gary Hendersen officiating. Interment will follow at Egner Cemetery under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Joey Holaway, Mike Holaway, Frankie Ciamaricone, Mikeal Ciamaricone, Eddie Milligan, Ricky Milligan, Alan Ross, and David Townsley.
Honorary Pallbearers are Skip Anderson, Danny Beggs, Felix Ciamaricone, Samuel Crabtree, Johnny Hallmark, Jimmy Hallmark, Alex Hallmark, Marty Holaway, Randy Milligan, and Bryan Ross.
