Darrell Eugene Duke

Darrell Eugene Duke of Evening Shade departed this life on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his home at the age of 71 years 9 months and 4 days. He was born on January 6, 1947 in Evening Shade, Arkansas to Dolphus and Essie Yancey Duke.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Troy Duke; three daughters, Cynthia Duke, Ladonna Duke and Lavonna Duke and one sister, Louise Smith.

Survivors include family members; five sons, Tracy Duke, Shannon Duke, Cody Duke, Travis Duke and Cory Duke all of Evening Shade; four daughters, Rhonda Ahrlett and Cheryl Hughes both of Texas, Yalanda Duke of Sidney and Latanya Duke of Batesville; two brothers, Burnis Duke of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Raymond Duke of Evening Shade; two sisters, Carolyn Nichols of Viola and Sandra Rogers of Evening Shade; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.

 Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Cemetery in Evening Shade weather permitting.  Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
