David Alexander Rowlett

David Alexander Rowlett, 74, of Sulphur Rock, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born July 31, 1952 in Swifton, Arkansas to Austin Rowlett and Josie Crossland Rowlett. He was a teacher of Aviation Maintenance and a Mason. He loved riding his motorcycle, especially his Harley Davidson. He loved his grandchildren and his children. He loved to fly and missed his airplane. David grew up in the Detroit area of Mt. Clements, MI. He also lived for many years in the Albuquerque area of New Mexico and would often return to both areas for visits.

He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Rowlett; and his brother, Bruce Rowlett.

He is survived by his wife, Tawanna Rowlett of the home; his son, Andre Rowlett of Cave City, Arkansas; his daughter, Erin Witty of Fort Collins, Colorado; his grandchildren, Emma Witty, Avery Rowlett, Carter Witty, Joshua Witty, and Benjamin Witty; his stepson, Jarrod Rhodes; his stepdaughter, Tara Hussein; and his step grandchildren, Rowan Rhodes and Khadijah Hussein; along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the funeral home with Randy Adams officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
