Delois Lydia Foster

May 25, 1932 — May 19, 2024

Chino, California

Delois Lydia Foster 91 of Chino, California entered eternal rest during the early morning hours on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Pomona Valley Hospital. She was just shy of turning 92 years old, born May 25, 1932, in Strawberry, Arkansas to George “Tim” and Lillie Mae Watson. She lived out her days, quite simply, mostly enjoying time with family and friends, bingo at her assisted living facility, using her cell phone only for taking pictures, chatting on the phone, a morning cup of hot chocolate, her comfy recliner and a nice homemade dinner or a KFC meal.

To Delois, her family was her life. As she noted in her last wishes, she loved all of them. Delois was loved by all, too. Survivors include Sons, Dan (Delores) and Kent (Robyn) Foster, grandchildren Deanna, Denise (Jimmy) and Dustin (Allison), along with great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hayden Murray & Nolan and Reese Foster.

Delois asked for it to be known that her faith was a great source of comfort throughout her entire life. She accepted Christ as her loving Savior at 15 years old and was baptized in the Strawberry River. She noted several Biblical verses she especially liked: John 3:16, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, John 14:1-4, Psalms 23 and St. Matthew 6:19-21; that when all read together not only offered a source of comfort to her but to her surviving family and a host of friends, as well. When remembering Delois, a bible verse from Galatians 5:22-23 comes to mind, though, which best describes her having the fruit of the Spirit—she was full of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. She was all those things and more. We will miss her so but are glad and rejoicing that she is now with her husband, Oneal Foster, the many loved ones we have lost, and the Lord.

A visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City, Arkansas followed by a graveside service at the Milligan Campground Cemetery located near Strawberry, Arkansas.
