Delores Jo Brazil

Delores Jo Brazil, 84 of Batesville, Arkansas passed away peacefully Saturday, August 1, 2026 in her home at Batesville. She was born March 26, 1942 in Monticello, Arkansas, to Arthur Brazil and Opal (Griggs) Brazil. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a food service manager for many years before her retirement. She found joy in sewing, painting, crafting, cooking, music, dancing and shopping. She enjoyed watching old westerns and crime shows, planting flowers, feeding birds and squirrels and watching the deer in the yard. She collected wind chimes, gnomes and Wexford crystal. She loved playing the Buffalo games at the casino, playing Bingo with her friends at the Senior Center and especially just spending time with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James W. Brazil and Norman A. Brazil; her sisters, Elnor V. Hicks and M. Maxine Thompson; her sons, James Richard Allen and Michael Douglas Allen; and her two great-grandsons, Michael Anthony Rigsby and Alistar Clarke Von Wootton.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Bishop (Earl) of Batesville, Arkansas, Kathy White (Bobby) of Columbia, Louisiana, and Karen Crittenden of Leton, Louisiana; her daughter-n-law, Denise Allen of Plain Dealing, Louisiana; her 13 grandchildren, Dustin Bishop, Ashley Bishop, Haley Bishop Foster, Dillon Bishop, Brandee Rigsby, Cody Koch, Shelby Koch, Joseph Neely, April Neely, Lindsay Thompson, Sylvia Allen, Jessica Whiddon and Samantha Allen; her twenty six great-grandchildren; her 3 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville, Arkansas Friday, August 14, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
