Doris Jane Stephens

Doris Jane Stephens, age 77, of Pleasant Plains, passed away on November 1, 2025, in Little Rock. She was born on March 28, 1948, at Step Rock to Dave June and Roberta Catherine (Chasteen) Windland. A devoted member of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains, Doris was a Christian woman who cherished her church family. She had a passion for cooking and quilting, and her love for her family was evident in all she did.

After a fulfilling career, which included managing the Pleasant Plains Dairy Bar, she also worked several years at General Industries. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Austin Edward Stephens.

She is survived by her son, Dave Stephens (Stacy); two daughters, Cindy Ciamaricone (Frankie) and Chrystal Durham (Curtis); her brother, Donald Windland; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains, where Bro. Daryl Sellers and Bro. Ronnie Fortson will officiate. Burial will take place immediately afterward in the Union Grove Cemetery.

The arrangements are in the care of Qualls Funeral Homes, and visitation will start on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., leading up to the service at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Windland, Bradley Windland, Austin Horn, Tim Ramsey, Matt Norris, and Brandon Bennett.
