Dorothy Faye Gay

Dorothy Faye Gay, 86, of Floral, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Batesville. She was born March 15, 1940 in Floral, Arkansas to Earnest “Gus” and Allene (Sharp) Pearson. She worked for many years at ConAgra in Quality Control before retiring to care for her husband. She was a member of the Mountain Top Cowboy Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She enjoyed being outside, gardening, her flowers and quilting. Dorothy loved spending time with her dear family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Carlon Gay; her son, Gary Gay; her son in law, Rusty Lamons; three sisters, Deanna Gay, Olpheilia Rascoe and Catherine Ward; and her beloved Maltese, Buddy.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Gay (Joyce) of Batesville, Arkansas and Bevin Gay (Ashley) of Salado, Arkansas; one daughter, Kimberly Lamons of Floral, Arkansas; two brothers, Woody Pearson (Linda) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas and Bob Pearson (Linda Kay) of Bald Knob, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Floral, Arkansas with Bro. Bennie Foster officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Homes.
