Edward Lee Kegley “Ed”, 59, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home. He was born June 13, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas to Jim Bob and Shirlene (Barnett) Kegley. He was a Network Engineer and a member of the Cave City First Free Will Baptist Church. He loved his hometown police officers at The Cave City Police Department, where he loved to tell stories with his brothers in blue. Ed also enjoyed fishing, bowling and re-inventing the wheel. He truly enjoyed his children and laughing at his wife, Laura.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Bob Kegley.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Laura Kegley of the home; his sons, Joshua Kegley of Washington, DC, Jacob Kegley of Orange Park, Florida, Edward Kegley Jr. of Cave City, Arkansas and Brian Kegley of Cave City, Arkansas; his daughters, Danielle Kegley Boggs of Desloge, Missouri, Alexia Kegley of Lead Wood, Missouri, Katie Emerson of Joplin, Missouri and Kimberly Drouin of Maine; his brothers, Jimbob Kegley of Geneva, Arkansas and James Kegley of Bismarck, Arkansas; his sisters, Vera Kegley Peyton of Texarkana, Arkansas and Rebecca Kegley Ward of Daisy, Arkansas; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City First Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Trent Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the church.
Pallbearers will be the Cave City Police Department.
