Evelyn Starece Hoffman

Evelyn Starece Hoffman, 88, of Evening Shade, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born October 7, 1937 in Cave City, Arkansas to Ewen Fletcher and Elsie E. Ashbrook. She was a Registered Nurse and a member of the Church of Christ of Evening Shade. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her farm and playing in her flowerbeds. She loved her family, church and her chickens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Hoffman; one brother and three sisters.

She is survived by her brother, Raymond Fletcher (Georgia); two grandchildren, George Fletcher and Rebecca Wilson; three great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Turkey Pen Cemetery in Hardy, Arkansas with Zach Harber officiating.
