Florene Ethel Gann

Florene Ethel Gann, 89, of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Poughkeepsie. She was born April 7, 1937 to William and Phyna (Carson) Dorris. She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Ridge Community Church. She enjoyed gardening, her family, and serving the Lord through His church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, John Beasley; her husband of 70 years, William Harvey Gann; one son, Dave Simmons; one grandson, Joseph Harvey Gann II; and three brothers, William Leon Dorris, Johnny Beasley, and Eugene Andrew Dorris.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph Harvey Gann (Shelly) of Michigan, Timothy Allan Gann (Patricia) of Benton, Arkansas, Vernon Clay Gann (Valerie) of Cave City, Arkansas; three daughters, Linda Jane Wess (Leonard) of Williford, Arkansas, Valerie Jean Dunn (Darryl) of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Reena Faye Jones (Stacy) of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas; two brothers, three sisters; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great – great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Poughkeepsie with Bro. Jim Pagan officiating.
