Gary Dockins

Gary Dockins, 71, of Batesville died Thursday, October 25, 2018. He was born June 20, 1947 at Melbourne, Arkansas to Lester Edward and Wilma Gay Sherrill Dockins. He was a retired U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Julia Dockins of the home; one son, Gary Dockins Jr. of Batesville; one daughter, Amy Blake of Collierville, Tennessee; his mother, Wilma Dockins of Batesville; two brothers, Tony Dockins (Jill) and Wayne Dockins (Jeannie) both of Batesville; one sister, Patricia Evans (Stanley) of Springfield, Ohio; four grandchildren, Callie Blake, Gabby Dockins, Gracie Dockins, and Brayden Dockins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Cushman.

Visitation  will be Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Dockins Jr., Tony Dockins, Wayne Dockins, Mike McMahan, Chris Trim, Chad Dockins, Travis Dockins, and Brady Dockins.
