George W Johnson Jr.

George W.  Johnson Jr. “Junior”, 73, of Batesville died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Batesville Healthcare Center. He was born May 14, 1945 in Searcy, Arkansas to George W. Johnson Sr. and Etta Ann Barnes Johnson.  He loved church and was saved at New Bethel Baptist Church at Floral and was baptized in the creek near the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Hester Altom and Clara Smith.

Survivors include two brothers, Cleon Womock of Indianapolis, Indiana and Virgil Womock of Floral; lots of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Floral with Bro. Mike Fowler officiating.  Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
