Gerald R. Sanders

Gerald R. Sanders, 77 of Evening Shade passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at his home.  He was born on August 16, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Peewee and Polly Sanders.  He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Annie Kimbrell Sanders of the home; one son, Richard Sanders (Tammy) of Phoenix, Arizona; four daughters, Cherylene Slade, Kimberly McFarlin, Traci Sanders and Shawna Wells all of Evening Shade; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evening Shade Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating.  Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons, Jonathan Carpenter, Jacob Carpenter, Jared Carpenter, Kaleb Smith, Robert Rogers, Eric Rogers and Sean Sanders.
