Glyndene Deaton, 87, of Cave City, Arkansas went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in Cave City. She was born July 4, 1939 in Strawberry, Arkansas to Jeff and Esther (Watson) Crafton. She was a Receptionist for many years working for Gary Ennis Real Estate and a Housekeeper for Earl and Katherine Tripp of Batesville. She was a faithful member of the Cave City First Free Will Baptist Church where she was instrumental in forming and developing the church. She served as Secretary/Treasurer for many years in the church and was actively involved in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Glyndene bowled for many years and was League Secretary for several of those years. On June 15, 2019, she was inducted into the Batesville USBC Hall of Fame. She also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She enjoyed Southern Gospel Music and attending the Southern Gospel Convention. She was an avid Razorbacks fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Glyndene loved her family and having family gatherings. She touched the lives of those who were blessed enough to love her, and know her and her sweet smile and mischievous grin. Oh, how she loved fiercely, she had a heart full of love for everyone. The memories of her wisdom, whit and laughter will be cherished for years to come by her family, friends, and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 wonderful years, Bobby Deaton; her son, Scott Deaton; her grandsons, Brian Keith Gann and Troy Benjamin Sneed; her brother, Gene Dale Crafton; and one sister, Lolita Crafton.

She is survived by her son, William Troy Milligan of Cave City, Arkansas; her daughters, Linette Gann (Randy) of Cave City, Arkansas and Glenda Waters of Southside, Arkansas; one sister, Sharon Eagans of Strawberry, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Amber Kelley (Adam), Amanda Brown, Lisa Gann, Robert Dungan and Brittney Dungan; and nine great grandchildren, Austin Waggoner, Braxton Waggoner, Kaylee Kelley, Kiara Kelley, Triston Kelley, Elijah Gann, Hayden Gann, Atleigh Gann and Howl Dungan; along with a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave City First Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Trent Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery in Strawberry, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jason Morris, Brett Morris, Dalton Corter, Blaine Counts, Donnie Wilson and Billy Corter.

Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
