Harold Dean Vaughan, 86, of Floral, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 at his home. He was born December 10, 1939 in Pangburn, Arkansas to Elzie Lee and Mary Margaret (Strother) Vaughan. He was a mechanic, machinist, and cattle and horse farmer; he also owned V&V Trucking. Harold was also an Independence County Constable and part of the Southside Volunteer Fire Department. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed time spent hunting, fishing, camping, rodeos, chuck wagon races, and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Kenneth Vaughan and Jerry Vaughan.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Helen Vaughan of the home; his daughter, Loraine Vaughan; his son, Ben Vaughan; his sisters, Chris Matlock and Darlene Clark; brother in law, Clyde Nelson; nephew, Tim (Dawn) Vaughan and other nephews and nieces; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bobby Leroy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery in Floral, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brent Henderson, Ben Vaughan, Tim Vaughan, Doug Pearson, Tim Zillgitt, and Jeremy Loggins.
