Hazel Browder

Hazel A. Browder, 88, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2026 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born September 2, 1938 in Sitka, Arkansas to John Edward Coats and Coyla Jane Thomas. She was a caregiver and member of the Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church. Hazel enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ben Bennett and Norman Browder; one son, Robert Edward Moreland; three daughters, Diane Moreland, Susie Moreland and an infant daughter; one brother, John Edward Coats; and three sisters, Barbara Marcum, Perline Coats, and Dorothy Floyd.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Maxwell; her brothers, Kenneth Coats and Johnny Coats; her sister, Joyce Guinnip; one grandchild, Ryan Maxwell (Anna); two great grandchildren, Hudson and Rhett; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewallen and Bro. Deshawn Pankey officiating. Burial will follow in the Spotts Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Rob Zimmerman, John Coats, Cameron Gilbert, and David Rock.
