Henry "Mitch" Williams

Henry “Mitch” Williams, 94 of the Hutchinson Mountain Community died Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born January 30, 1925 at Cash, Arkansas to Thomas Berce and Lorena Daniels Williams. He was a “Gentleman’s Farmer” and had previously owned a landscape business in Michigan and also worked several years at General Motors. He was an active member of his community and was instrumental in the establishment of the Hutchinson Mountain Community Center. He was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lola Mae Williams; brother, Thomas Williams and sisters, Marie Ellison, Bea Priddy and Donna Taylor.

Survivors include his wife, Aileen Williams and her family; sons, Douglas Williams (Barbara) and Michael Williams both of Davisburg, Michigan and Larry Williams (Dianna) of Lehigh Acres, Florida; daughter, Sharon Penn (Joe) of Canton, Georgia; brother, Jack Williams of Lapeer, Michigan; grandchildren, Robert Williams, Susan Williams, Bart Williams, Brent Williams, Alison Gillespie and Chelsea Austin; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Tom German officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Johnson Cemetery in Cash at 2:00 p.m.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
