Herbert Allen Leech

Herbert Allen Leech, 89 of Batesville departed this world to go be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 23, 2019. He was born November 5, 1929 at Peoria, Illinois to Irad and Clara Leech.  He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Harold, Leonard and Gill Leech and an infant son, Keith Allen Leech.

Survivors include his wife of over 69 years, Ruby Liles Leech; one daughter, Melinda (Rick) Church; five grandchildren, Crystal (Michael) Wojcik, Courtney (Scott) Finley, Matthew (Chelsey) Church, Dustin (Jillian) Church and Travis (Jamie) Church; one sister, Mildred Palmer; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with Bro. John Sanders officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Church, Dustin Church, Travis Church, Alen Richardson, Caleb Patterson, Sean Wojcik and Seth Wojcik.

He was a devout Christian and the family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 1105 Shamrock Lane, Sulphur Rock, AR 72579
