Jeanie Joyce Green

Jeanie Joyce Green, 79, of Jonesboro died Monday, August 15, 2022.  She was born December 16, 1942 in Cave City.  She was the daughter of the late E.H. and Artus Cole.  She was also a retired Science teacher of over 39 years, where she received the Teacher of the Year award twice. 

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother; Max Cole, two sisters; Carolyn Elmore and Jo Detwiler as well as one niece; Martha Jean Detwiler.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years; Wilbur Green of the home and a son; Clint Green of Long Beach California; four nieces; Melinda Williams, Vicki Burns, Patricia Savell and Stephanie Guiltner; three nephews; Jack Detwiler, Jim Ed Cole, and David Cole as well as host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with John High officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sidney.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Williams, Steven Green, Jack Detwiler, Jim Ed Cole, Aaron Green and Randy Green.

Arrangements are under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
