Juanita Modine Melton, 78, of Saffell, Arkansas passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at her home. She was born August 14, 1944 in Albany, California to George Benjamin Sanders and Rachel Perrin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rose Bud Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, painting, playing the piano and accordion, crocheting and babysitting her grandbabies. She was the family secretary and farm accountant. She was also very proud of her HAM Radio License.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Terry Wayne Melton; one sister, Nova Gene Sanders-Yates; an infant brother; and one grandchild, Carson Melton.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Delbert Ray Melton of the home; her son, Howard Melton of Saffell, Arkansas; her daughter in law, Kim Melton of Cave City, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Pasha Melton of Batesville, Arkansas and Caden Melton of Cave City, Arkansas; three great grandchildren, Ian Bristow, Emmett Bristow and Ayden Bristow all of Batesville, Arkansas; and several other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hopewell Cemetery in Cord, Arkansas with Bro. Carl Neil officiating with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Caden Melton, Ian Bristow, Emmett Bristow, Ayden Bristow, Bob Yates and Randall Daggett.
The family gives a special thank you to Whitney Melton, APN and Stacy Wright with the White River Health Hospital in Batesville, Arkansas.
