Julia Fae Kelley Harmon, 92 of Desha passed away Monday, April 4, 2022. She was born June 27, 1929 in Locust Grove, Arkansas to John C. and Lois Dishongh Kelley. She was a retired school teacher with 31 years of service at Desha Schools. She was a longtime member of Desha First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Jill Harmon; sister, Helen Kelley Bates and a brother, Bennie Joe Kelley.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Mac Harmon of the home; daughters, Kathy Ferguson (Mike) of Cherokee Village and Cynthia Murphree (David) of Silex, Missouri; grandsons, Dave Murphree Jr. (Lauri) of Lake St. Louis, Missouri and Brock Ferguson (Kristen) of Jonesboro; great grandchildren, Lawson and Jackson Murphree and their mother Diane, Chanie Lindsey, Graham, Sloan, and Mac Ferguson; three great great grandchildren, Trip, Ellie and Kallyn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alderbrook Cemetery at Desha with Bro. Josh Swinea officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
