Kayrene Asberry

Kayrene Asberry, 77 of Cave City died Monday, March 11, 2019. She was born August 19, 1941 at Cave City, Arkansas to McKinley and Alma Brogdon Girtman.  She was owner of Kay’s Backyard Nursery in Cave City and of the Missionary Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brent Asberry; brothers, W. C. Girtman, Edward Mack “Lightnin” Girtman and Norman Nelson Girtman; sister, Della Mae Fleetwood and nephews, Danny Fleetwood and Larry Girtman.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Sammy Asberry; daughter, Tammy Brown and husband Ken; grandchildren, Kinlee Brown and Evan Brown all of Cave City; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery at Cave City with Ken Brown officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
