Larry Gene Pries

Larry Gene Pries, 72 of Evening Shade died Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born December 6, 1945 at Rochester Minnesota to Donald Gene and Glenna A. (VanDusen) Pries. He was a retired U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran having achieved the rank of Master Chief.  He was also a farmer, a welder and a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Diane Pries and brother, Kevin Montgomery Pries.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Pries of the home; two daughters, Denise Jones (Michael) and Dana Harmon both of Little Rock; one sister, Linda Shanrock of Evening Shade; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday, May 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evening Shade Cemetery with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Harmon, Justin Harmon, Trey Harmon, Michael Harmon, David Jones and Kaylon Patterson.

Honorary pallbearers are Frank Frederick, Reed Avey and George Lee.
