Linda "Kathy" Byrd Sellers

Linda “Kathy” Byrd Sellers, 47 of Poughkeepsie passed away Friday, December 24, 2021.  She was born September 25, 1974 in Batesville, Arkansas.  She was the daughter of Willard L. Byrd and Linda Riggs Byrd Foley.  She was a homemaker and attended First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City.  She was a fighter, strong, compassionate, stubborn and loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard L. Byrd and her grandparents, Kermit and Geneva Riggs and Robert and Lizzie Byrd.

Survivors include her husband, Michael W. Sellers of Columbus, Mississippi; her mother Linda Foley of Poughkeepsie; one son, Scott Phillips of Bald Knob; three daughters, Elizabeth Canard (Joey) of Poughkeepsie, Melissa Johnson (Blake) of Tupelo, Mississippi and Tiffany Smith (Chase) of Caledonia, Mississippi; two sisters, Tina Byrd Beck (Lonnie) and Lori Byrd Bailey (Giff) both of Poughkeepsie; her mother-in-law, Renate Ackerman Sellers of Columbus, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Scott Phillips, Blake Johnson, Joey Canard, Willard Beck, Jesse Beck, Stevie Wilson, Hunter Dixon and Wes Fletcher.

Honorary pallbearers are James Riggs, Michael Riggs, Giff Bailey and Lonnie Beck.
