Lois Marie Peters Passmore

Lois Marie Peters Passmore, 96 of Pleasant Plains died Monday, May 27, 2019. She was born November 5, 1922 at Tupelo, AR to John William and Cordelia E. Peters. She worked beside her loving husband for many years beginning on the family farm and then at Hilltop Farms. She was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong member of Independence Missionary Baptist Church of Pleasant Plains. She loved her family and friends and opened her home to many children that called her Grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Passmore; her parents; 6 brothers and 4 sisters; her son, W.C. Passmore, 2 grandsons, Tim Millsap and Chris Passmore; and one great-grandson, Mason Passmore.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosalee Millsap (Kenneth) of Wichita, KS; 7 grandchildren, Sherry Henry (Russ) of Wichita, KS, Debbie Williams (Dick) of Nixa, MO, Scotty Passmore (Tammy) of Pleasant Plains, Jalisa Milligan (Rick) of Cave City, Kevin Passmore (B.J.) of Mercer, MO, Jessica McGonigal (Micheal) of Ozark, MO, Kristin Williams (Justin) of Chariton, IA; 23 great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Independence Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains with Tommy Crawford and Wesley Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery in Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will be Thursday May 30, 2019 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Rich Williams, Nick Williams, Chip Passmore, Brandon Milligan, Taylor Milligan, Alex Passmore, and Matthew Passmore.

Honorary Pallbearers are Chad Passmore, Matt Henry, Jacob McGonigal, Isaac McGonigal, Ryan McGonigal, Kylen Williams, Kacyn Williams, Kaige Williams, and Terry Allen.
