Lucretia Joyce Hancock, age 87, of Evening Shade, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the Mountain Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born December 21, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Dennis Reynolds and Marie Johnson Reynolds. She was a homemaker/business woman and a member of the Sidney Baptist Church. She enjoyed being involved in the church in many social and civic activities.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Hancock; two sisters, Rose Cole and Hazel Pape; and one grandson, Wayne Hancock.
She is survived by her son, William “Bill” Hancock II of Batesville, Arkansas; two daughters, Ruth Bramlett of Mebane, North Carolina and Charlotte Terbot of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, David Reynolds of Centralia, Illinois; five grandchildren, Mary Beth Tipton, Will Hancock, Monieca Marshall, Marcala Brashears and Jamie Cooper Stovall; twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Maxville Cemetery north of Cave City at a later date with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the funeral home.
