Norman (Hookie) E. Hook Jr.

Norman E. Hook Jr., aka, Hookie, 79, of Desha, Arkansas passed away on October 29, 2026 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born August 13, 1947 at Glen Ridge, New Jersey to Norman and Ruth Hook. He was proud to be co-owner of Hook’s Custom Calls and a member of the Pleasant Plains United Methodist Church. He enjoyed turkey hunting; University of Arkansas sports, time spent with his family and friends, and loved his Creator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert Scott Hook.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Ruff of Hutto, Texas, Victoria Hook of Cedar Park, Texas, and Shannie LeBleu of Eunice, Louisiana; his brother, Roger Hook (Deloris) of Floral, Arkansas; his sister, Denise Kirker (Gene) of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Plains United Methodist Church with Verlon Wood and Brian Hook officiating.
