O'Neal Sneed

O’Neal Sneed, 92, of Strawberry passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Jonesboro. He was born May 9, 1932 in Strawberry to Alonzo Sneed and Sylvia Drury Sneed. He was a retired mechanic and a member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Strawberry. 

He enjoyed bird watching, gardening, Sudoku puzzles, studying his Bible and telling stories.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of nearly 50 years, Peggy Sneed; a daughter, Sylvia Faye Sneed; two sisters, Bonita Sullivan and Olene Daggett and a grandson, Dakota Sneed.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Sneed (Elizabeth) of Jonesboro and Bradley Sneed (Felisa) of Caruthersville, MO; two daughters, Denise Shopher of Strawberry and Danita Dixon (Troy) of Batesville; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Strawberry with Bro. Roger Randolph officiating.

Burial will follow at Ward Cemetery located in Strawberry.

Arrangements are by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Visitation will be from 11am until service time at the church.

Pallbearers will be Nate Eno, Aaron Rios, Payton Callahan, Bryce Strawn, Jared Parker and Kenton Crawford

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Strawberry.
