Perry Albert Calaway of Southside passed away unexpectedly in his home after having enjoyed 55-wonderful years of life. He is survived by his parents Bobby and Claudette Calaway and his six siblings Robert Calaway, Danny Calaway, Whendy (Darryl) Henderson, Barry Calaway, Janice (William) Davis, and Nissa (Robert Stientjes) Calaway. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Duck”.
Perry spent his formative years adventuring in Marrianna and Forrest City, AR. Perry loved to tell stories of hiking, mushroom hunting, swimming, and running free with his brothers and sisters in the 1970s and 1980s. Perry operated the DragonFly Flea Market in Locust Grove, AR until 2015. Recently, Perry moved to a cabin to be nearer to his parents. Many evenings were passed with his beloved dog and extended family on his parents’ front porch. His nieces and nephews never allowed Perry a moment of loneliness or boredom. Perry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
