Ralph Marlin Palmer, 80 of Cave City died Thursday, May 31, 2018. He was born June 21, 1937 at Batesville, Arkansas to Sylvester and Augusta Maine (Baker) Palmer. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and had worked for the Independence County Road Department. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Palmer; one daughter, Debbie Gay; one brother, Jeff Palmer; four sisters, Mary Lou Downs, Frankie Justice, Ader Watkins and Vonnie White and one granddaughter, Jennifer Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Palmer of the home; two daughters, Sherrie Davis (Jimmy) and Kelly Purvis (Bob) both of Cave City; three grandchildren, Mary McPherson, Patricia Purvis and Ralph Purvis; one great granddaughter, Abigail Butler and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Donald Turner and Bro. John Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Clay Cruthis, Ralph Purvis, Michael Butler, Michael Taylor, Tracy Duke and Perry Skinner.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Gay and Robbi McPherson.
